Isidro Solla Retires

Isidro SollaAfter 24 years, we are sad to say goodbye to part of the Pyrosales family. Isidro Solla has worked across a variety of roles at Pyrosales over the past 24 years, including the management of the Melbourne and Brisbane offices and managing our international customers.

Isidro came to Australia from Uruguay in 1974 as a young man, looking for more opportunity. He was first offered a job at Leeds and Northrup in Botany, where he worked for over 15 years managing the manufacture of thermocouples and expendable devices.

Looking to further his career, seek new challenges and a broader role within the temperature sensing industry, Isidro approached the then owner of Pyrosales and he was offered a job, on the condition that he would leave Sydney and settle in Melbourne to manage the new Pyrosales Melbourne office.

Isidro’s list of achievements at Pyrosales is extensive. Establishing the Melbourne office, building up the team, the reputation, market penetration and business of Pyrosales in Melbourne is a highlight. The long term business relationships he has established with key customers over the years as well as establishing distributors in SA and Tasmania, and overseas business, in particular South America, have played a large part of Pyrosales’ growth.

The team at Pyrosales thank Isidro for his loyalty and contribution and extend our best wishes for a happy retirement. Isidro will be spending his time in the garden, fishing, bushwalking, walking along the beach, kayaking, cycling, community volunteering, travelling and probably more fishing! Enjoy.
