Single conductors are insulated using PVC. For identification purposes, each pair has one conductor that is numbered and twisted with its partnered conductor. A copper communication wire is also cabled with each pair of conductors. The entire construction is then wrapped in aluminium tape. A copper drain wire is also applied under the colour coded PVC jacket.
